Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9 1976 the youngest of four children. Audrey's parents as a dentist and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for acting and drama on a young stage. The support they provided was more than enough to combat her goal of becoming a the first primatologist. Her fame grew as a child actress quickly and enjoyed enormous achievement. After completing her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers, a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to embark on a professional career as an actor. Though she was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou is now averse to her religious upbringing and has stated that she's not Catholic. As well as her acting profession, she pursued a modelling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. Her photography is focused on celebrities, fame and the press that scrutinised her following her emergence on the scene as Amelie. Also, she has a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou's global popularity and success exploded following her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's leading actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and was awarded awards across all over the world. The film is still the highest-grossing French film in the US. The film's success has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, ranging from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
