Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. She first competed at the national junior championships in Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. The first time she competed in an international event in an preolympics junior event for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. When she competed for the first time in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals, as well as one silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's first job was in entertainment during her teenage year. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating shows.
